This repair can be commonly mistaken for a screen repair or system doesn't turn on. The port looks perfect in the system. If the Nintendo switch shows voltage and power going into the device but no video is coming out of the display. The cause of the problem maybe the video power ic chip, Also known as the P13 IC Chip. This IC Chip are on both 1st gen switch and switch OLED.
COMMON SIGNS OF ISSUES
-
- Nintendo Switch displays a blank screen and screen doesn't look damaged (this is commonly due to a faulty video power chip)
- Nintendo Switch appears to not turn on
- Nintendo Switch appears to look like its unable to charge
Best way to test it is to have a voltage meter to test for amps and voltage coming from the switch. Otherwise we can have it tested to see if that is the problem.
1st gen Switch and Switch OLed are the only system this may happen too.
