Repair Risks
Electronic repairs are unpredictable. Your device may be too far gone for repair or maybe permanently damaged during repair and rendered useless. Motherboards and their components deteriorate over time. They can fail without warning especially on devices that was affected by liquid. Devices that are liquid damaged can have their components short circuit, corrode, rust over time. They may not be repairable if its too far gone.
Repairs on devices that have there screen glued-on such as Ipads, Galaxy phones involve prying the screen to access the internal components. Screens are very delicate/ fragile they can break or crack during the disassembly processes. We are experienced technician and the chance of screen breaking is very minimal, but glass can break and the risk do exist. Touch id/Face id/ battery replacement, etc on apple devices may fail during repair and deemed unusable. Although this is not common it can still happen depending on the condition of the device. Integrated graphic cards on laptops or AIO computers can fail without warning especially the older 2011 Macbook/ imac, some HP, Toshiba. These are known with GPU problems.
Estimates
All devices that are dropped off/mail-in for repair will be checked out. Common repair such as ps5 hdmi port/ screen replacement price will be giving up front. Other repairs we try our best to identify problems. Some may take longer then others. We will update customer with price for approval. Repair will begin upon approval. It is very difficult or impossible to identify every problem affecting a device until some work is performed. Our estimates may evolve or change during the course of servicing your device. If we need to update the estimate, we will let the customer know before proceeding with the repair. Any changes to the repair must be approved by customer before proceed. If device can't be repaired, we provide customer with alternative if there is any.
Pickup time limit and holding fee
Due to our limited storage space, If device are not picked up after 2 weeks from their completion time, there will be a $20 holding fee added to the invoice. Mail-in repair must be paid before return shipping is made. GamersEdge Repair holds devices up to 30 days after its completion time. Customer within those 30 days can pick up their devices. Within last week of holding device GamersEdge Repair will make a final update towards customer to pick up their device. After 30 days from the completion time, devices if not picked up will be considered abandon/ forfeited and belong to the GamersEdge Repair. Any repair that was not repaired have 30 days from when notified that it can't be fixed, to pick up their device. All non repairable devices will be recycled after 30 days if they are not picked up. GamersEdge Repair will have the right to sell any repaired device that was left beyond the 30 days to recover service cost and parts used to fix your device. We cannot guarantee that your equipment will not be discarded after the initial 30 day period, so it is critical that you pick up your equipment on time or make arrangements with GamersEdge Repair to store your equipment until you can pick it up. If you make arrangements to pick up after 30 days, You will be billed at $40 a month for storage .
All repair status can be checked through our website www.gamersedgerepair.com. Simply Click Track Your Repair. Or simply give us a call if you wish to know the status. All completed devices will be notified either through text/email or a phone call. If you have not heard from us, just means we have either not got up to your device or it has not been completed yet. Be patient and wait for our update.
Limited Warranty
We offer a 90 day warranty on all repairs. If for any reason an issue occurs from the original work during the 90 days, we will perform the service again at no extra charge. All parts used to repair your device comes with a 90 day warranty. Warranty starts from the date of service. All device only have warranty on what was repaired. Issues caused by user error or negligence in the 90 day guarantee period, including but not limited to physical damage (drops, crushing, exposure to temperature extremes), liquid damage (spills on and liquid immersion of the device), electrical damage (improper grounding, contact with poorly performing or damaged electrical networks), pulling hdmi port off the motherboard, and damage caused through installation or use of harmful software components (viruses, malware, spyware), voids GamersEdge Repair Warranty. Mail-in repairs, the customer is responsible for shipping the device back to us and we will cover return shipping. Note: If your device has been physically tampered with or damaged during warranty period the warranty is voided. This includes but not limited to cracked screens, dents to frame, internal damages, attempts to open or modify the device, using non original charging cabled to charge your device, accidental or intentional that cause our repair to fail. Some repairs performed by GamersEdge Repair may void your manufacturer's warranty. By accepting service from GamersEdge Repair, you understand and agree that we are not held liable for voiding your device manufacturer's warranty.
Warranty Exclusions
We do not offer warranties or guarantees on any of the following:

Any repair involving parts that customer brought to be installed.

Any software issues, including virus removal.

New issues not directly tied to the original repair.

If device was opened and modified not by any Gamers Edge Repair employee.
Repair Time
Repairs are done as fast as possible. All device are worked on in the order they arrive. Many factors my determine the length of time it may take to get your repair done that may be beyond our control. Many repair are completed in 1-48 hours, however we offer no guarantees on how long the repair may take. Any references to repair time on our website or flyers, promotional material are our best estimates on previous experience. It's not meant as a exact time frame for your specific repair.
Replacement Parts Procedure
If a service requires parts to complete, we will contact and inform you of the need prior to ordering any parts. We will explain the part needed, why it’s necessary, any associated costs, and give an estimate of when the part will likely arrive. Due to shipping times being beyond our control, our estimate is a best guess and is not intended to guarantee arrival by a specific time. If you would like to hold on to your device until parts come in, a deposit of 50% of the repair cost will be required. GamersEdge Repair will generally not use parts not purchased by GamersEdge Repair. This is due to our inability to verify that the parts are functional and will provide a good fit for your device. Any replacement parts not supplied by GamersEdge Repair are not covered by any kind of warranty or guarantee except as might be provided by the part manufacturer. By providing your own parts, you acknowledge that you understand and agree that any work we provide is not covered by GamersEdge Repair Warranty or any other guarantee or assurance, explicit or implicit. You also agree to waive any liability for damage to your device caused by faulty parts or other part incompatibilities. Any repair involving parts costing more then $200 must leave 50% deposit before proceeding.
